Tasting Notes
This wine is a deep plum color and has a rich black currant, licorice and tobacco leaf aroma. The palate is full bodied and complex with hints of cassis and vanilla, coupled with a smooth tannin structure and a long lingering finish.

Varietal Composition: 39% Petite Verdot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Cabernet Franc
Aging: 18 months in French and American Oak barrels
Alcohol: 13.5%
Residual Sugar: .25%

“Our Meritage blend is a deep plum color and is starting to develop some slight brick red hues. This wine has a wonderfully soft, yet complex aroma. The nose displays sweet berry fruits, leather, vanilla and cigar box characters. The palate is rich and well rounded with fruit and spice, soft tannins and a pleasant long lasting finish. This wine would make an excellent accompaniment to a standing rib roast.”
